10 Tips For Getting Repeat Website Traffic

Here are 10 tips for getting repeat website traffic

  • Updates: Frequently update your site with fresh content appropriate to the subject matter of your site. Be aware, search engines sometimes drop stagnant sites.
  • Incentives: Customer special offers and discounts are attractive. On your site, place an invitation to ‘opt in’ in a link so your customers can receive a monthly newsletter containing valuable coupons or spectacular discounts.
  • Bookmark This Site: Don’t lose your customers by them forgetting your address. Create a link to your primary page using the script ‘Book Mark or Add this site to your Favorites’ so they can return with ease.
  • Tell A Friend: ‘Recommend this site to a Friend’ is another link or plugin you should add. Then your visitors just need to click a pre-written message, “Thought you might be interested in this.”
  • Logo: Branding and making it instantly recognizable as your site with logos, colors or slogans that are consistent will ensure your visitors become familiar with it and will always know where they are. The essential ‘Contact Us’ link for each page should be there too.
  • About Us – Disclaimer – Terms Of Service – Privacy Policy – Contact Us: All these pages should be considered the “shell” of a good website. Besides them being necessary for your visitors, Google and other search engines give more credibility to sites with these pages.
  • FAQ’s: An ‘FAQs’ page should be created, addressing most of the commonly occurring doubts and their clarification regarding your company or your product. Things like shipping, warranties, refunds etc should be addressed, helping resolve most customer queries on their initial visit to you.
  • Titles and Keywords: SEO (search engine optimization) is important but don’t go crazy with it. Use titles and keywords appropriate to each page of your website so your customers can retrace their return to you if they haven’t book marked it.
  • Links: Additional value is always something you should consider. Offer affiliates and partners link placements in your site and see if you can come to a reciprocal arrangement with them perhaps advertising their books and/or videos, if they have products that relate closely to your industry but are not competition to your own product.
  • Email: Spamming a client will only lose you business. If a customer had opted to receive newsletters from you, that’s all you should send, not unsolicited emails. Give the option too for opting out at a later if they so request and honor it. They might return again one day if they liked your products and will appreciate your respect for them.

Okay, so there is a just a very small sample of what you can do to get repeat website traffic.
