Some people are not happy no matter where they are, and never will be satified. Some only cry sour grapes to hurt the partners and afffiliates who might actually like promoting a company (competitors? other affiliates?). Some are like problem magnets who attract conflict whereever they go. My friends who are like this complain about more companies than they praise. I don’t know why. I guess their mother never told them, “if you don’t have something good to say – don’t say anything.” Maybe they are just happier when they make themselves unhappy and llok at the world to justify this unhappiness. I don’t know.
I actually like 1&1, but then I guess a company with million customers, is bound to have some detractors. The happy ones like me must be too busy being successful to come to 1and1’s defense. I would not generalize like most angry posters do. I would evaluate them for yourself! The price is right, some features which other would charge you for, and a 90 day money back guarantee…
I liked them because of the low domain rices and free domain privacy. I like the fact that ‘auto-renew’ is on by default, so I don’t have to worry about losing any of my names.
But as I said, you should not believe me or to ’sour grapes’ negative commenters – check out any host you might consider for yourself, call them, scour their T&C, speak with their billing folks – whatever you need to do to satify yourself. But remember, good or bad, just cuz you read it on the internet, don’t make it so.
