can u help me? when i go to my start menu to restart my computer the shutdown button is not there the log off button is only there do you know how to enable the shutdown button?
this is better. make a txt file.
then open it. write
shutdown -s -t 100
and go to “save as” and write the name of it and end it with .bat or .batch
then there should be a .bat or .batch file on your desktop or where you saved it.
but then make a shortcut of the .batch file and name it what you wan’t.
then right click and go to “properties” and select “change icon” and then you can find all the pictures on your computer to put in there as an Icon. :) all from me…………………………..
xD thats a funny .bat file! If you don’t get it, the script shuts down/restarts/logs off when you double click it. Before it does that, it puts a message saying “Goodbye you idiot” but it also says how to stop it…

i have seen other videos, and they’ve typed
shutdown -s -t 5
which also works
-s = shutdown
-t = time until it happens
make the codes shorter. like this:
Shutdown: shutdown -s -t 0
Logoff: shutdown -l -t 0
Restart: shutdown -r -t 0
cool
Thank you, very detailed and direct.
5/5 no doubt
i know how to make a better shutdown icon
Tell us how to make a better icon…Love to know more tricks.
u should try *shutdown.exe -s -t 60 -c*
If I wanted to get rid of this short cut in the future how would I do it?
Simply throw the icon in the recycle bin…Then it will be gone when you empty the bin.
