i have seen other videos, and they’ve typed

    shutdown -s -t 5

    which also works

  2. Computerbasics says:

    -s = shutdown
-t = time until it happens

  3. iJerryZZZ says:

make the codes shorter. like this:
    Shutdown: shutdown -s -t 0
    Logoff: shutdown -l -t 0
    Restart: shutdown -r -t 0

If I wanted to get rid of this short cut in the future how would I do it?

  10. Computerbasics says:

Simply throw the icon in the recycle bin…Then it will be gone when you empty the bin.

  12. Thevideouploader999 says:

To get an icon, right click on the shortcut and click properties and then click on change icon.

  13. dannyknud123 says:

this is better. make a txt file.
    then open it. write

    shutdown -s -t 100
and go to “save as” and write the name of it and end it with .bat or .batch
then there should be a .bat or .batch file on your desktop or where you saved it.

but then make a shortcut of the .batch file and name it what you wan’t.
then right click and go to “properties” and select “change icon” and then you can find all the pictures on your computer to put in there as an Icon. :) all from me…………………………..

type this for PERMANENT shutdown, — shutdown -c -p 1 “permanent”

  18. nintendoto says:

xD thats a funny .bat file! If you don’t get it, the script shuts down/restarts/logs off when you double click it. Before it does that, it puts a message saying “Goodbye you idiot” but it also says how to stop it…

  19. Dannytigerboy says:

it is another way: you could just do this: shutdown -s -t 10 “type here” -c
