Do Web Host Fee’s Include Domain Registration?
Do webhost fee’s include the fee for domain registration? In other words, do we have to pay for each domain registration especially in a cheap web hosting services?
A reader of this site (CheapWebHostingReports.com) submitted the above questions about if web host fee’s include domain registration fee’s…
Some web hosts offer deals where upon your first sign-up they will pay for one domain registration for the first year. I certainly wouldn’t go with a web host for that reason only because you can register a domain at NameCheap.com for only about $8.00 per year. You can search for a current namecheap discount code and save a dollar on that too.
The other reason I don’t recommend registering your domain with your web host is because they do have the power to hold up moving your site since they are the domain registrar. For that reason you should always register your domain name with a domain registrar and then host your site with a web host. The point is to keep them separated.
SiteBuildIt is different in that they include the domain registration for every year you host your site with them.

DO NOT buy web hosting from a host that offers a free domain with their services. There are thousands of internet users being blackmailed into staying with them by holding the domain name and not letting the user transfer it to another web host. Find an honest web host, pay for the domain name and make sure YOU own the domain name. Domain names are too precious to risk for a free domain offer.
If they do that means the web host owns the domain name. If you want to own the name you should pay seperate fees.
Some hosting sites provide free domain registration, some don't. I've been using BlueHost for a couple of years now and everything is running smoothly. You can try them if you want.
Yes, they are separate. Most of the web hosting services provide domain registration service as well but they will charge separately. And some service provide give a package deal.
Thanks,
Aman
The best thing to do is to keep your domain names and your web hosting completely seperate. What I do is use amsallorange for hosting and namecheap.com for domain name hosting. If you need to switch, then you aren't stuck with whoever has your domain name, because namecheap.com allows you to use any hosting service with their domain name registration.
