GoDaddy: Go Daddy was founded in 1997 by Bob Parsons as Jomax Technologies. He previously founded the software development company Parsons Technology, Inc. Go Daddy is currently the largest ICANN-accredited domain registrar (not to be confused with web host) in the world. In 2007 and 2008, Go Daddy has lobbied  in favor of legislation to end unscrupulous online pharmacies and child predators. From 2003-2005, Go Daddy was recognized as one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Arizona.

Godaddy is cheap but I find that their interface is slow and their tech support leaves a lot to be desired.

Sorry to tell you this but Godaddy is good for domain registration but I don’t think they should be in the web hosting business.

Good things about Godaddy: Inexpensive and very good up-time.

Bad things about Godaddy: Horrible administrator user interface and bad customer support.

Godaddy doesn’t have a toll free phone number for tech service, which means that phone calls can get expensive since you may be on hold for 10-20 minutes, plus all your time spent dealing with the issue you called about. I don’t feel they have qualified tech support either. My experience is that if you have a problem, they probably won’t be able to help you. Stick with Godaddy as a domain registrar if you want, but I suggest Hostgator for web hosting.

I have around 20 websites hosted at Godaddy and haven’t had any problems. I had an issue the other day with a domain and the support was quick and was resolved the same day.

I have several sites with GoDaddy. Never had a problem with them, and the few times I was confused about something, their customer service people walked me through the process on the phone. They spoke English too!

I’ve been with GoDaddy for about two years and have 2 domains hosted with them. I’ve never had any issues with them unlike the few web hosts I used before I switched to GoDaddy.

My experience with Godaddy is that they have been courteous, fast to respond to my questions and were very friendly too.
