Hostrocket offers lots of bandwidth for cheap prices and is an okay web host as long as you don’t have to deal with their customer service. The problem is that many of the changes you might want to make in your cpanel will require you to contact the their staff. I’m not sure why Hostrocket operates that way, but they can be very difficult to get a hold of sometimes.

I’ve been with Hostrocket for a long time. They had some problems a couple years ago where credit card numbers were stolen. I’m sure they have fixed that security breach and I’m still with them. Uptime is okay but I am aware of some occasional downtime.

Excellent support is the biggest reason I recommend hostrocket.com. When I was first starting out and didn’t know anything, I needed a lot of help and hostrocket was answering trouble tickets 10 minutes after I’d submit them. Over the years that has been typical of their customer support. I haven’t experienced any noticeable server downtime either.
