I know that some of the free web host companies have restrictions because they don’t want your affiliate links and banners to conflict with all the advertising they plaster all over your web pages, but I’ve never heard of reputable web hosting that doesn’t allow affiliate links and banners. I suppose the term reputable is key here because the last thing you want is to have your site up and running and to then find out that you are restricted from monetizing your site. I suggest you contact the web hosting company you’re interested in to confirm whether they allow affiliate links and banners. And if they don’t, then just know that there are lots of excellent web hosting companies that don’t restrict putting pretty much anything you want on your site unless its some kind of weird rascist garbage or something. Another good thing about contacting a web hosting company BEFORE using them is so that you can see first-hand how quickly and how well they respond to your questions. True, there will be some that are great at servicing potential customers upfront and then drop the ball later when you become a paid customer, but that is probably the exception to the rule. The best thing you can do before starting with a web host is to check out the web host reviews on this site and see what others are saying about them.
